Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Nuwat may collect, use, store, and share information through its website, desktop application, APIs, and related services (the “Service”).
Effective date and operator
Effective date: September 19, 2026. The Service is offered under the Nuwat name. Contact details for privacy requests appear below.
1. Information we collect
The information involved depends on how you use the Service.
Account and payment information
If you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, profile, authentication identifiers, preferences, and plan details. A sign-in provider may share authentication information with us. If paid plans become available, a payment provider may process payments; we generally do not store complete card details.
Early-access list
If you join the early-access list, we collect your email address and the language of the page you used. We use this information only to contact you about Nuwat early access. You can ask us to remove your email at support@nuwat.app.
Prompts, projects, and code
We process prompts, conversations, feedback, and the project information needed for a requested task. That may include source code, file names, configuration, dependencies, command output, errors, build or test results, and version-control context, subject to the permissions available to the application.
Device and usage data
We may collect IP address, device and operating-system details, app version, browser type, timestamps, feature usage, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and performance data to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
Website analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and page use. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and collect page activity, approximate location, and browser and device information. Google receives this measurement data. We do not send project source code or prompts to Google Analytics.
2. How we use information
We may use information to provide the Service; manage accounts; understand requests; supply AI-assisted coding; inspect relevant project context; generate or modify code; run permitted operations; diagnose errors; provide support; maintain security; prevent abuse; measure reliability; improve features; send important account or product notices; process payments; and meet legal obligations.
3. AI providers and subprocessors
Nuwat may use third-party infrastructure and AI providers. When a feature calls an external model, relevant parts of your request, conversation, project context, or code may be sent to that provider. We aim to send only what is reasonably necessary for the task. If you connect a supported provider account, API key, or subscription, that provider’s terms may also apply. Providers can change as the product evolves.
4. Code and conversations used for improvement
Nuwat does not use private project code to train its own general-purpose AI models. Requests sent to an external AI provider are processed under that provider’s applicable terms and policies. We may use aggregated, de-identified, or diagnostic information to improve the Service’s quality, reliability, safety, and performance where permitted by law.
5. Local processing
Some desktop functions may inspect files, run approved commands, or interact with development tools locally. Locally processed information is not necessarily uploaded. Information needed for an AI request may be sent to Nuwat infrastructure or the selected AI provider as described here.
6. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information. Our website uses Google Analytics for measurement. When the early-access form is active, its submissions are stored with Cloudflare D1. We may also share information with providers of hosting, authentication, databases, error monitoring, email delivery, payments, and AI inference. We may disclose information to respond to valid legal requests, protect people or the Service, investigate abuse or security incidents, or enforce agreements. Information may also transfer during a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. Retention may vary by category. You may request deletion of an account and related personal information, subject to information we must or may retain under law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service or storage method is completely secure. Protect your credentials and consider what you share with AI tools. Avoid providing passwords, private keys, production credentials, or similarly sensitive information unless a feature requires them and you understand how they will be handled.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of information; object to or restrict processing; or withdraw consent where consent is the basis. Send privacy requests to support@nuwat.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
10. International transfers
Nuwat and its providers may process information outside your country. Where required by applicable law, appropriate transfer mechanisms will be used.
11. Third-party services
Integrations such as source-control platforms, AI providers, authentication services, deployment platforms, and other developer tools may have their own privacy policies and terms.
12. Children
The Service is not intended for children below the minimum age for consenting to online services where they live. If we learn that we have collected a child’s personal information contrary to applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as Nuwat evolves. For material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice through the Service where appropriate.
14. Contact
For privacy questions and requests, contact Nuwat at support@nuwat.app.
